Jerounds Primary Academy is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new nursery provision — a nurturing and enriching start to your child’s learning journey - from January 2026. Our nursery is for for 3 and 4 year olds entitled to free government-funded childcare. Designed as the perfect prelude to our outstanding Reception classes, this new offering will provide enhanced academic and emotional support tailored to our community's needs. Our nursery vision champions confident, happy children, whom we will nurture to be 'school ready' as they take their first steps into formal education. Who can get free childcare?
There are different schemes, so your eligibility depends on your circumstances and where you live:

For 3- to 4-year-olds (England):All parents can access 15 hours of funded early education, regardless of income or work status.

For 9-month to 4-year-olds:You may be eligible for 30 hours of funded childcare if you and your partner (if you have one) both meet certain criteria, such as working at least the equivalent of 16 hours a week and having an adjusted net income below £100,000.
