School Games

At Jerounds Primary Academy we believe that a strong PE curriculum is essential for the overall development of our students, fostering not only physical fitness but also teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. Throughout the academic year, all pupils are exposed to multiple sports such as football, basketball, netball, and athletics, in addition to inclusive and expressive activities such as yoga, dance, gymnastics and boccia. We ensure that every pupil finds an activity they enjoy and may excel in. Sport at Jerounds fosters positive relationships within teams, with other primary and secondary schools, enabling our pupils to experience competition in a range of contexts. Similarly, our pupils experience leadership and coaching opportunities throughout their tenure at Jerounds, allowing them to expand their knowledge and understanding of PE and games as they transition into each key phase.  Our pupils are engaged, motivated and challenged to achieve their very best.

Competition at Jerounds Primary Academy

Throughout the academic year, we offer numerous opportunities for pupils to represent the school in organised competitions. Our teams have a proud history of success, and we celebrate every achievement, big or small. Our pupils consistently demonstrate remarkable skill, sportsmanship, and dedication, making us a driving force in the competitive sports arena. We have a proud history of success in various sports competitions - from local tournaments to county finals. Beyond winning, we emphasise the importance of teamwork, respect, and fair play. Our pupils are not only champions on the field but also exemplary role models off it. The entire school community, including parents, teachers, and governors, champions our pupils, providing encouragement and by celebrating their many achievements. This support network is a crucial part of our success.
